Randi S. Menendez is a New York native. She earned her undergraduate degree from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York City and her Juris Doctor from University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado.
Prior to attending law school, Randi worked as a corporate legal assistant in the commercial banking division at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, LLP - a premier U.S. law firm for nearly two centuries. It is during this time at Cravath that Randi discovered her interest in business law and in helping clients manage business risks to avoid potential legal problems in the future.
Randi focused on business and tax law during law school, which gave her the skills and knowledge to join PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP - one of the world's largest professional services firms - as a legal tax consultant in San Francisco. At PwC, Randi nurtured her passion for helping clients prevent future legal problems by working with LLCs and Corporations on state and local tax issues.
After moving to San Diego in June 2009, Randi started the Law Office of Randi S. Menendez, which focuses on providing personalized and affordable corporate counsel services to entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout California. In this role, Randi's in-depth knowledge of her clients businesses enables her to provide thoughtful and discerning legal advice.
Randi handles all matters that impact her clients businesses, including but not limited to, business formations, employment matters, copyright & trademark registrations, conflict resolution and settlement negotiations, real estate and leasing matters, and contract drafting and negotiating.
Randi has been an active member of the California State Bar since 2008 and is a new member of the Washington State Bar as of August 2017.
Outside of the office, Randi pursues an interest in health and fitness, a remnant of her past working as a personal trainer to pay for law school. Randi also has a background in music and art. She began playing piano at age four and had the privilege of playing at Lincoln Center in New York City by age nine; she has had certain works of art displayed in competitions and galleries, also in NY. Lastly, Randi has a passion for experiencing new people and new places. Aside from extensive travel in the U.S. and abroad, Randi has lived in New York, Colorado, San Francisco, San Diego, and Japan. She currently lives in Seattle, WA with her family.
